Bloomberg BNA Q&A: Mariann Yeager, Chief Executive Officer, Sequoia Project

[Subscription Required] Mariann Yeager is chief executive officer for the Sequoia Project, the nonprofit group that oversees two major health information exchange-related organizations: the eHealth Exchange, one of the first and largest exchange networks in the country, and Carequality, a public-private collaborative working to solve the healthcare industry’s data sharing issues.

In June, the group announced a major rebranding effort that includes changing its name from Healtheway.
Sequoia, the group announced, will take on more research and educational projects relevant to health
information exchange.

Yeager spoke to Bloomberg BNA’s Alex Ruoff Aug. 17 about how the Sequoia Project is changing and the challenges it faces in working to improve the interoperability of the nation’s health IT systems.
