Who Is Involved

Carequality is a collaboration of the entire healthcare community, and participation extends far beyond our formal membership.  Our members span many areas within healthcare, but it is essential for Carequality’s success to have comprehensive stakeholder representation on committees and work groups, and input from non-members has been invaluable.  We encourage any healthcare stakeholder to contact us to learn about opportunities to get involved.

Participation so far has come from a diverse cross-section of stakeholder groups:

  • Physicians
  • Consumers
  • Government Agencies
  • Data Sharing Networks
  • Payers
  • Behavioral Health
  • Acute Care
  • Long Term Care
  • Hospice and Home Care
  • Research
  • Public Health
  • Vendors
  • Standards Development Organizations
  • Pharmacies
  • EMS Services

Carequality Interoperability Framework Adopters

These organizations have agreed to provide health information exchange services for their customers under the comprehensive Carequality Interoperability Framework, which consists of legal terms, policy requirements, technical specifications, and governance processes. The Framework is an operationalization of the groundbreaking Principles of Trust to enable nationwide health information exchange.

The initial implementers of the Carequality Interoperability Framework – and their clients – benefit from accelerated, less costly health data sharing agreements, because they no longer need to develop one-off legal agreements between individual data sharing partners. These health information exchange partnerships are able to leverage existing networks and business relationships to rapidly expand. For example, most physicians already have access to a small network through a technology vendor or a health information exchange (HIE). These existing health data sharing opportunities dramatically expand to include additional providers, payers, government agencies, and others as the Carequality community grows.

All Carequality Member Organizations

Our members form our backbone of support, and play a leading role on our Steering Committee and Advisory Council.  The members are a diverse group representing many categories within healthcare, including provider organizations, national and regional data sharing networks, pharmacy, imaging and lab companies, payers, and vendors.
