1-Day Data Usability Taking Root Virtual Workshop

September 23 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

SAVE THE DATE – The aim of this virtual workshop is to advance implementation of data usability guidance for a more meaningful exchange of clinical data on a national scale. The workshop focuses on data, standards, technology, and interoperability to improve health care quality and patient outcomes. Better data usability benefits providers, operational & health information management staff, health information exchanges & networks, health IT platforms, public health, and patients.

The workshop is structured to:

  • Combine technical education with real-world stories from the frontlines,
  • Address a critical interoperability barrier in that healthcare laboratory data isn’t currently usable because organizations that collect and exchange it are not aligned on a consistent approach,
  • Promote technical capabilities by explaining the DUIG V2.0, the result of rigorous national technical discussion and public comment spanning 4 years, 391 organizations and 488 participants, 20% of which are clinical care providers, and 40+ representatives from cancer centers and labs, and
  • Inform participants about a community of practice that can help them on their data usability journey.

More information on registration coming soon.
